A message from President Donna VanRooy

President Donna VanRooy

“If the State of Ohio is to grow and prosper, it must raise the education level of its population.” Taken from the Strategic Plan for Higher Education, I would emphasize the importance of this with our adult population. Continuing education plays a key role in achieving our state’s mission.

As President of The Ohio Continuing Higher Education Association (OCHEA), our ability to be adaptable, collaborative, and innovative are key to continuing education leadership in Ohio.

This only comes from building connections and sharing ideas, with fellow practioners. OCHEA provides that vehicle to you.  Formed in 1983, OCHEA had these objectives. To:

  • Promote the development of continuing education as a professional field
  • Provide professional development opportunities
  • Enhance coordination, cooperation, and collaboration among member institutions
  • Promote the offering of quality educational programs that serve the needs of Ohio’s citizenry
